Tips for quality care of incontinence and living with incontinence

The role of pelvis floor muscles (and consequences of their weakness)

This muscle group has a very important function in a human body.

It is a small quantity of muscles that generally carry and support the lower organs of the abdomen.

When pressure in the abdomen increases, for instance when sneezing, the pulses take care that the pelvis floor «squeezes» and supports the muscles closing the urethra. If the pelvis floor muscles are too weak or not exercised, the function of closing the bladder is no longer optimal and urine may leak. It is therefore advisable to regularly exercise the pelvis floor muscles.
