Raise right knee at a right angle, while at the same time raising left heel and lean on your toes.<\/p>\n<p>Repeat with the other leg. Repeat 10 times for each leg.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What happens while you do this exercise?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The remote parts of your legs (around the ankles), called the \u201evein pump\u201c, muscles contract and this pushes vein blood upwards.<\/p>\n<p>When muscles are relaxed, the venous valves prevent this blood from backflow into the legs, pushing it towards the heart. The <strong>result is better venous circulation<\/strong>, the blood does not collect in the legs and no venous insufficiency can develop. Therefore, in the case of suspected varicose veins, walking is crucial.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4912\" src=\"https:\/\/www.simbex.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/image013.jpg\" alt=\"image013\" width=\"462\" height=\"307\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.simbex.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/image013.jpg 462w, https:\/\/www.simbex.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/image013-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.simbex.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/image013-100x66.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 462px) 100vw, 462px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"venska-gimnastika\">Additional exercise to keep your veins healthy, the so-called veins exercise<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Warming up<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>Lay on your back, \u201ccycle\u201c for about 30 seconds<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stretching<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>Take lunge position, stretch the muscles of your straight leg for about 15 seconds each time and repeat the exercise five times with each leg.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rolling<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>Sit down, alternately raise your feet to toes and heels, repeat 15-20 times.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pulling<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>Lay on your back. Pull both knees to your chest, repeat about 10 times.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Vein walking<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>Walking is a sporting activity that is particularly beneficial for your veins. A healthy walk activates the muscle pump, thus boosting in a natural way the venous return of the blood to the heart without overloading your body.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This type of walking is a bit faster than the normal pace and it is suitable for all age groups.<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>Vein walking technique<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Find the pace that suits you best.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Start at a slow pace<\/li>\n<li>Keep your knees slightly bent, land heel first<\/li>\n<li>Transfer your weight from heels to toes<\/li>\n<li>Push with your toes against the ground in direction of walking<\/li>\n<li>Swing your arms at an angle<\/li>\n<li>The arm moving forward must be the opposite of the leg moving forward (left arm-right leg).<\/li>\n<li>Consciously breathe in and out<\/li>\n<li>Look at least 4-5 metres ahead<\/li>\n<li>Allow your shoulders to hang loose<\/li>\n<li>Push out your chest<\/li>\n<li>Walk for at least 20 minutes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are exercises for the people who are not physically very active which are very effective in boosting of venous circulation.
