Who suffers from incontinence

The prevalence of incontinence ranges from 5 to 10 per cent of population and according to some data, as many as 20 per cent of them are people over 35 years of age.

Incontinence may happen to anyone, including children and men. It is more frequent in certain groups, such as among multipara and seniors.

According to the world’s statistical data, every seventh woman, in Croatia every fourth woman, at the age between 35 and 45, suffers from it and every tenth man.

A comparison between younger population with respect to sex point at certain differences: the figures tell us that the ratio of incontinent women in their fertile age amounts to 10-15% compared to only 5% of men of the same age. This difference is lost in the population over 70 years of age.
