Achilles tendon bursitis
Achilles tendon bursitis is the inflammation of the fluid-filled sac (bursa) located between the skin of the back of the heel and the Achilles tendon. Achilles tendon serves to attach the muscles at the back of the lower leg to the heel bone. Located at the topline of the shoe heel counter, it becomes painful when in contact with hard skin.
Heel shock absorbers with relief spot help by raising the painful bursa above the upper foot edge.
