Ofa Bamberg is one of the leading German manufacturers of medical stockings and bandages and was a pioneer in the field of individualised made to measure production. This means that the stockings are produced in accordance with the individual leg dimensions of the patients and therefore have a very good fit.

Innovation has always been the main driving force behind the successful growth of Ofa Bamberg. Thus, Ofa was the first manufacturer to offer medical compression stockings with microfibres. Other fashionable features, such as the lace grip top or the wide range of colours, set trends. As a result, the rather thick and unattractive rubber stockings were soon a thing of the past!

Continually the product range was extended with non-prescriptional products, for example support and travel stockings, to leverage the adopted knowledge in this field also for preventive healthcare products. Today the Gilofa 2000 travel stocking is one of our bestsellers, which is also known and bought in many countries all over the world.

The product area of supports and orthoses has also expanded continually.
Whereas the original range consisted solely of textile supports, today it covers the entire spectrum of supports and orthoses for nearly all kind of orthopaedic problems, e.g. back support, wrist braces and ankle braces.

Besides the business in Germany, Ofa Bamberg is dealing more and more with international customers in Europe and worldwide, e.g. in Italy and Japan.
